My family and I will be standing in solidarity with them and against nuclear power plants and specifically against the building of two additional nuclear reactors at Turkey Point. We will have signs and flyers. As concerned citizens we ask you to join us. This gathering will coincide with the Art in the Park event occurring at Bayfront Park. There should be plenty of people there. Let’s meet at the Torch of Friendship at 2pm. Bring your families, signs and good spirits.

The March 11 earthquake and tsunami in Japan created a crisis
situation at the the Fukushima nuclear power plant. The radiation
spilling from the plant will continue to haunt the lives of people,
the land, and the sea for generations to come.
April 10th is the global day of action against nuclear power.

Dear anti-nuke demonstrators of Japan,
With great respect I send this greeting and tell you that your action in Koen-ji on April 10 will be in our minds on that day. We will add a message of support to our bridge vigil in Maine, USA, where we stand each week with activists who have opposed nuclear power for decades. We also oppose the use of depleted uranium in weapons. I am currently engaged in teaching high school students about the attack on Hiroshima with an atomic bomb and the suffering that resulted. In these ways we honor your effort and stand in solidarity with you.
